Martha Perry Ghant was born on January 22,1944 in Phenix City, AL; the daughter of the late James and Corand Perry. She departed this life on Thursday, October 1,2020 at Piedmont Hospital in Columbus, GA.
She was educated in the Russell County School System and work many years for Fieldcrest Mill from where she retired. She loved cooking for her family and working in her puzzle books.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Vera L. Perry, Mable Perry Bass and Mary E. Clay; two brothers James Perry, Jr. and Frank Perry.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories four daughters Patricia (Willie) Watkins, Sylvia Alexander, Sharon Ghant all of Columbus, GA and Wendy Ghant of Phenix City, AL; two sons George (Annie) Ghant Jr. of Montgomery, AL and Christopher (Angela) Ghant of Columbus, GA: 16 grandchildren 35 great grandchildren; one sister Catherine Ghant of Columbus, GA and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
