Miss Danielle Ja’lise Sumrall was affectionately known as “DJ”, “Danny” and “Pooh Bear” by her father, family and friends. Danielle was born on December 12, 1987 and transitioned this life November 12, 2021. She was the 3rd of four children born to Mr. Leroy Sumrall and Pamela Jo Sumrall- Young.
She was a member of Love Life Ministries Youth Group and she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at the age of 13 at Summer Camp with Young Life Ministry. She graduated in 2006 from Central High school in Phenix City, Alabama with honors in Cosmetology and Early Childhood Education.
She is proceeded in transition by her paternal grandparents Haywood and Elnora Sumrall, maternal grandmother, Cornelia T. Sanders, her precious daughter Christina Peninah Puckett and devoted step- father George Young. She leaves precious memories with her grandfather, Mst. Sgt. Retired Boswell W. Sanders; two daughter Ananti Alina Ja’Nae Puckett and Zaniyah Yessica Puckett, her goddaughter, Amari Sanders; a loving mother, Pamela Jo Sumral- Young; her father, Leroy D Sumrall; 3 siblings, Marquis (Lacy) Sumrall of Joplin, Missouri, Cornelia Joi’von (David) Ebron of Columbus, GA and Talitha Je’Nora Sumrall of Columbus, GA; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
